So! I’ve been messing around with Penny Farthings for a few years now! The penny makes people smile and talk.
I’ve decided I’d like to take on GP Mills‘ 1886 record – Land’s End to John O’Groats, some 861 miles, in five days, one hour and 45 minutes. I’m going to use the record attempt to raise funds for the BBC Children in Need fundraising appeal.
Completed – Wednesday 24th July 2019

My journey from Land’s End to John O’Groats was undertaken in 4 days and just under 12 hours.
All evidence will, in due course, be submitted to the Guinness World Records people and then I will be a record breaker*!
* subject to ratification, and queue a Roy Castle song 🙂
IT’S OFFICIAL!
Guinness World Record holder – confirmed 11 October 2019!
